Fools wanted

[No] for God selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is foolish to put the wise to shame, and what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame. – 1 Cor 1:27 (Amplified)

God deliberately chose the foolish, in other words God doesn’t care about what YOU can do. He doesn’t care whether you have a doctorate degree or whether you have the ability to draw large crowds or whether you have big muscles. When Jesus chose His disciples, the choices He made were totally the opposite to what the world had chosen. Jesus chose uneducated men, He chose men who were despised by the people – for crying out loud they were tax collectors (who were kind of like the mafia of the time) and fishermen!

Isn’t it great that we can know this, that the God who created the entire universe does not look down upon anyone, instead it’s not about what YOU can do, but rather where your heart is. Are you willing to put aside everything for Him? Are you willing to go the distance and go wherever God wants you to go? Are you willing to get up early in the morning for Jesus? Are willing to spend an hour less watching TV so that you can spend time with God?

It’s a challenge, however there are no excuses, because it does not depend on YOUR abilities, but instead are we allowing GOD’s abilities to manifest in our lives?
