It’s all a lie

To be a child of God we must allow the holy spirit to rule in our lives, this is easier said that done, as most of you would know.

I know I still fail to allow the holy spirit at times and I doubt I’m the only one. However it’s important that when you do fall, make sure that we get back up again straight away. Instead of holding on to the guilt, repent and learn from our mistakes, and yes this can take some time, sometimes it ends up being a habit that we keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again.

I believe I am so blessed to have a church that is so supportive, no matter what you’re going through, the leaders will not condemn you for it, because sin is not only for “bad” people, sin is a “human” problem. Earlier this year I conjured up the guts to be able to confess my sins, by talking to my senior pastor. Previously I would always made excuses saying things like: “being a leader, I can’t show that I’m like this or the pastors will be dissappointed”, on the contrary, my senior pastor was glad that I told him and was very supportive about what I was going through.

For years the devil had deceived me with this lie, battling it out on my own, because he knows that when you bring things into the light, the darkness will lose its power. I praise God that through God’s grace I can be set free. My prayer to you today is that you will not fall for the same trap that devil had on me and so many others. it doesn’t matter whether you’re a leader or maybe you’re not even a christian. Don’t struggle on your own, don’t believe that you can make it on your own, it’s all a lie. God’s plan is so much better, more than you can imagine!
