A place of our own

On Sunday, most of the church took a small field trip to our brand new building, it seemed like forever but we are almost at the stage of being able to move in! This will be the first building owned by our church (since we began 7 years ago), you may not realise how incredible this is.

The church had $37k less than a year ago, but in less than a year we managed to bring that figure up to $117k. Now for all you guys who go to a large church that may not seem like much to you. But considering that most of our church’s (with less than 100 members) demographic make up are mostly youths (under 25’s and students) and young children, it truly is a miracle that we were able to raise such an amount (roughly $80k) in only about 7 months – all the money was raised through fundraising run by church members and contributions from within the church. I believe this really is the work of God.

I have seen people giving everything the have, their car, their jewellery, their savings and their precious time. It is such a humbling experience to be part of this amazing group of people. I believe through this, God will honour the way we have set our hearts on Him. I believe the church is more united than it has ever been before and I can’t wait to see what great things God is going to do through the church when we enter into the new building God has provided for us. We are still believing that God will provide the $800k we need to pay off the building by the end of the year!
