Once upon a time there was a man named Paul. He was a great man, with character, integrity and values. One day he was caught to be put on prison, claiming that he was stirring up crowds. The truth was that he did no such thing. Even though Paul was innocent, he still submitted to the governing rule. Felix the Roman official, was a corrupt man, he knew of Paul’s innocence, so he tried a number of times to get Paul to give him a bribe.
We all know corruption is a sin, but sometimes it takes time to realise it. Corruption does not only take form in bribery, but many other ways too. When we fill our minds with ungodly things, that is corruption, eg. watching a graphic movie. Corruption is a degenerative process, it won’t hit you straight away. It is an on going process, but the end result can be devastating.
Once we can see that something is corrupt in our lives, we need to fix it as soon as possible. If you have sinned God will forgive you.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9
